The Zuni Youth Enrichment Project is a non-profit 503(c) committed to enhancing the health of Zuni youth through innovative programs that promote a healthy lifestyle and a strong connection to Zuni culture. Each year ZYEP’s Performance Academy sport leagues offer over 400 Zuni boys and girls between the ages of 6-12, the opportunity to apply their highest efforts toward learning and playing sport within an environment that is designed to be fun, challenging, and highly supportive. Our empowering approach consists of providing young adult coaches with the education, practice, and mentorship so they could in turn, bring out the best in every participant. End-of-the-season assessments indicates that our Performance Academy approach works.
